B for Brighten: Once your teeth are in their ideal position, we whiten them to your chosen shade using professional home whitening. Starting whitening after alignment means the shade is consistent and uniform across all surfaces.
C for Correct: Finally, composite bonding is used to refine any remaining shape, size, or surface imperfections — chips, uneven edges, or proportion issues that alignment and whitening alone could not address.
The result is a smile that is straight, bright, and perfectly shaped — typically achieved over three to six months, with finance available to spread the cost.

The ABC Smile is designed for patients who want a comprehensive smile transformation but are not ready for — or do not need — porcelain veneers. It is particularly well-suited to patients in their 20s and 30s whose teeth are essentially healthy but cosmetically imperfect, people who have previously had braces but have experienced relapse, those who want a natural-looking result rather than a dramatic "Hollywood smile", and patients who prefer a reversible approach (the composite bonding in step C can always be modified).
It is not suitable for patients with very heavy staining that would not respond to whitening, severely broken down teeth, or those requiring significant bite correction — in those cases, we would discuss alternative treatment plans.

The ABC Smile starts from £3,500 as an all-inclusive package, covering Invisalign Lite or equivalent clear aligners, professional home whitening with custom trays, and composite bonding of up to six front teeth. More complex cases — requiring full Invisalign Comprehensive or more extensive bonding — are priced individually. Finance through Tabeo makes the investment highly manageable, typically from around £97 per month.

Each stage of the ABC Smile has its own aftercare requirements. During aligner treatment: wear aligners 20–22 hours daily, clean them regularly, and attend check-up appointments every 6–8 weeks. After whitening: follow the white diet for 48 hours after each session and use a sensitivity toothpaste. After bonding: avoid biting hard foods directly with the bonded teeth and attend your regular check-ups for polishing and monitoring.
Long-term retention is essential after completing your aligner treatment — a fixed or removable retainer will be provided to maintain your results permanently.

Why do we align first?
If we bonded or whitened first and then moved the teeth, the composite would fracture during aligner treatment and the whitened shade would be inconsistent. Straightening first means every subsequent step is built on the correct foundation.
Can I skip one of the steps?
Absolutely. The ABC Smile is a template, not a rigid protocol. Many patients do AB (align and brighten) without bonding, or BC (brighten and correct) without prior alignment. We tailor the combination to your specific needs and budget.
How long does the whole process take?
Typically 3–6 months, depending on the complexity of the aligner treatment. The whitening phase takes 2–3 weeks and overlaps with the later stages of aligner treatment. The final bonding appointment is completed in one session after whitening is finished.
Will I need retainers after the ABC Smile?
Yes, retainers are essential after any orthodontic treatment. We include a fixed retainer bonded behind your front teeth as standard, ensuring your alignment results are maintained permanently without any effort on your part.
