Porcelain Veneers at Park Royal Dental Clinic
Porcelain veneers represent the gold standard in smile transformation. Ultra-thin shells of dental ceramic — often no thicker than a contact lens — are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth to completely transform their colour, shape, size, and alignment in just two appointments.
At Park Royal Dental Clinic, we approach veneer cases with meticulous attention to detail. Every veneer is designed around the individual patient — your face shape, skin tone, lip line, and personality all inform the final design. The goal is never an artificial, uniform "Hollywood smile", but a beautiful, natural result that enhances rather than replaces your own features.
Our veneer patients come to us from across West London — Park Royal, Acton, Ealing, Harlesden, Wembley, and beyond — often having seen examples of our work on social media or through word of mouth.

Who is porcelain veneers suitable for?
Veneers are best suited to patients who want a significant, long-lasting improvement in the colour, shape, or alignment of their teeth, particularly where composite bonding would not provide sufficient change. They are ideal for: heavily stained or discoloured teeth that do not respond adequately to whitening, teeth with multiple chips, cracks, or erosion, teeth that are mildly misaligned or spaced where orthodontics is not preferred, and patients who want a durable, stain-resistant result that lasts 10–15 years.
Veneers require a permanent, irreversible preparation of the tooth surface. This is a commitment, and we take the consultation process very seriously — ensuring every patient fully understands and is genuinely comfortable with the procedure before we proceed.
Park Royal Dental difference
Our dentists have undergone extensive postgraduate training in aesthetic dentistry and work with a specialist dental ceramic laboratory to craft veneers that are truly bespoke. We use digital smile design software to plan and preview your result before any tooth preparation takes place, so you can see — and approve — your new smile before we begin.
We also offer a trial smile (a mock-up placed directly on your teeth at the consultation appointment) so you can see and feel the proposed shape and size in your own mouth before committing to the process. This step is invaluable for ensuring complete confidence in the outcome.
Your treatment journey
How much does porcelain veneers cost?
Porcelain veneers at Park Royal Dental Clinic are priced from £900 per tooth. Composite veneers start from £300 per tooth and can be an excellent more affordable alternative. A typical full upper smile of 8–10 porcelain veneers costs between £7,200 and £9,000, reflecting the significant investment in laboratory time and the clinical skill required. We are transparent that this is not the cheapest option available in London — but the quality of the ceramic work and the clinical expertise behind each case justifies the investment. Finance is available to spread the cost.

Porcelain veneers are very low-maintenance. Brush and floss as normal. Avoid biting directly into very hard foods (bones, hard sweets, ice) and do not use your teeth as tools. If you grind your teeth at night, we will provide a custom nightguard to protect your veneers. Attend regular check-ups and hygiene appointments to keep the margins clean and the underlying gums healthy. With good care, veneers routinely last 10–15 years and some last considerably longer.
Porcelain Veneers FAQs
Will veneers look natural?
When designed and made well, porcelain veneers are indistinguishable from natural teeth. Modern dental ceramic has excellent translucency that mimics the way natural enamel reflects and transmits light. The key is working with a skilled ceramist and a dentist who understands aesthetics.
Does having veneers hurt?
The preparation appointment involves removing a thin layer of enamel under local anaesthetic — you will feel no pain. Your temporary veneers may cause some sensitivity for a few days. The bonding appointment is typically entirely comfortable.
How long do veneers last?
With good care, porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years. Some last significantly longer. They will eventually need replacing, but a well-maintained veneer can provide 20+ years of service.
Can veneers fix crooked teeth?
Veneers can correct mild misalignment and create the appearance of straight teeth. For moderate to severe crowding, orthodontic treatment first is often a better approach — and can mean less tooth preparation is needed for any subsequent veneers.
What is the difference between composite bonding and porcelain veneers?
Composite bonding is reversible, more affordable, and completed in one appointment. Porcelain veneers are more durable, more stain-resistant, and can achieve more significant changes in colour and shape. The right choice depends on your specific goals, budget, and how long you want the result to last. We discuss both options in detail at consultation.
Will I need a consultation before starting?
Yes — always. We never start veneer preparation at a first appointment. We take the time to understand your goals, take photographs, use digital smile design software to preview your result, and offer a trial smile in some cases. This process ensures you are completely confident before any irreversible treatment begins.
