Wrinkle Correction (Botox) at Park Royal Dental Clinic
Botulinum toxin (commonly known by the brand name Botox) is the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment in the world. At Park Royal Dental Clinic, our dentists are uniquely qualified to carry out facial aesthetic treatments β a dental degree requires an in-depth study of head, neck, and facial anatomy that gives our practitioners a level of anatomical understanding that many aesthetic providers simply do not have.
Botulinum toxin works by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles β the lines caused by repeated facial expressions such as frowning, squinting, and raising the eyebrows. The most commonly treated areas are the forehead, the frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), and the crow's feet around the eyes. Results are visible within 3β7 days and last 3β4 months.

Who is wrinkle correction (botox) suitable for?
Wrinkle correction with botulinum toxin is suitable for adults of any age who are bothered by dynamic facial lines. It is most effective for expression lines β forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet β and less effective for static lines (those present even at rest), which are typically better addressed with dermal fillers.
It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, for patients with certain neuromuscular conditions, or for those taking specific medications. We take a full medical history at consultation before proceeding with any treatment.
Park Royal Dental difference
Treatment at Park Royal Dental Clinic is carried out by dentists β not beauty therapists or unqualified practitioners. The injection technique used for botulinum toxin requires precise anatomical knowledge to be both safe and effective. Our practitioners use the minimum effective dose, erring on the side of natural-looking movement rather than a frozen appearance. We see far too many patients who have been overtreated elsewhere, and our philosophy is always 'less is more'.
Your treatment journey
How much does wrinkle correction (botox) cost?
Wrinkle correction at Park Royal Dental Clinic is Β£220 for one area, Β£270 for two areas, and Β£320 for three areas. Additional areas are Β£50 each. Areas include forehead lines, frown lines, crow's feet, eyebrow lift, bunny lines, smoker's lines, and dimpled chin. Treating all three standard areas at once tends to produce the most balanced, natural-looking result. Prices include the consultation and the 2-week review appointment.

For the first 24 hours after treatment: avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area, avoid strenuous exercise and excessive heat (saunas, hot showers), remain upright for at least four hours, and do not press on the treated area. Full results develop over 7β14 days. A review appointment at 2 weeks allows us to assess the outcome and administer any small top-up doses needed.
Wrinkle Correction (Botox) FAQs
Does botulinum toxin treatment hurt?
The needles used are very fine and most patients describe the sensation as a brief, mild sting. No anaesthetic is required. The entire treatment takes 15β20 minutes and most patients return to work immediately.
Will I look frozen or unnatural?
Not with our approach. Our philosophy is to preserve natural facial movement and simply soften the lines that bother you. We use conservative doses and assess the result at your 2-week review to ensure you are happy before considering any top-up.
How long do results last?
Typically 3β4 months. With regular treatment, results often last slightly longer as the muscles become accustomed to relaxing. Most patients have treatment 2β3 times per year to maintain their results.
Is botulinum toxin safe?
Botulinum toxin has been used safely in medicine for over 30 years and in cosmetic medicine for over 20 years. In trained hands, using regulated medical-grade products, the safety profile is excellent. We only use licensed, prescription-only botulinum toxin products.
Can botulinum toxin treat teeth grinding?
Yes β this is an increasingly common use. Injections into the masseter muscle (the large jaw muscle responsible for chewing) reduce the force of grinding and clenching, providing significant relief from jaw pain, headaches, and tooth wear. As dentists, we are particularly well-placed to assess and treat this.
