Dental Check-Ups at Park Royal Dental Clinic
A dental check-up at Park Royal Dental Clinic is far more than a quick glance in your mouth. Our thorough examinations take the time to assess every aspect of your oral health — from the condition of each individual tooth and the health of your gums, to the alignment of your bite, the function of your jaw joints, and a full soft tissue screening for early signs of oral cancer.
Located at Unit 5A, 9 Lakeside Drive in Park Royal NW10, we are conveniently accessible for patients across West London — including Acton, Ealing, Harlesden, Wembley, and Shepherd's Bush. Regular check-ups are the single most cost-effective investment you can make in your oral health. Catching a small cavity early means a simple white filling; leaving it means a crown, a root canal, or worse — extraction.

Who is dental check-ups suitable for?
Check-ups are for everyone, from young children attending their very first dental visit to adults who haven't seen a dentist in years. We welcome nervous patients and those who have avoided the dentist for a long time — our team is gentle, non-judgmental, and focused entirely on making you comfortable.
We recommend most adults attend every six months, though patients with a history of gum disease, high decay risk, or complex dental histories may benefit from more frequent visits. At your appointment, your dentist will advise the right interval for you personally.
Park Royal Dental difference
At Park Royal Dental Clinic, check-ups are carried out by GDC-registered dentists who take the time to listen as well as examine. We use digital X-ray technology which delivers a fraction of the radiation of traditional X-rays, providing sharper images that allow us to detect problems earlier. We will always explain exactly what we find, show you on screen, and discuss all options before recommending any treatment.
Our clinic was founded by sisters Dr. Sara Moshtofar and Dr. Zahra Moshtofar, who grew up in Ealing and Brent and have deep roots in the West London community. Patients here are not a number — they are neighbours.

Dental Check-Ups FAQs
I haven't been to the dentist in years — will you judge me?
Absolutely not. We see patients every week who haven't visited a dentist in 5, 10, or even 20 years. Our job is to help you, not judge you. We will assess where things are and create a plan to get your oral health back on track, at a pace you are comfortable with.
How long does a check-up take?
A standard check-up takes around 30–45 minutes. New patient appointments are typically longer as we take a full medical history and get to know you properly. We never rush our patients.
Do I need to do anything to prepare?
Just brush your teeth as normal before coming in. It helps to bring a list of any medications you are currently taking, as some can affect your dental health. New patients should arrive 10 minutes early to complete a medical history form.
What is oral cancer screening?
At every check-up we examine all the soft tissues in your mouth — lips, tongue, cheeks, palate, and throat — for any changes that could indicate early signs of oral cancer. Oral cancer is highly treatable when caught early. This screening is included in every check-up at no extra charge.
My teeth don't hurt — do I still need a check-up?
Yes, and this is one of the most common misconceptions in dentistry. Many dental problems, including cavities, gum disease, and even some oral cancers, cause no pain until they are advanced. Regular check-ups catch problems before they become painful and expensive.
Can I register as a new patient?
Yes. We are currently accepting new patients. You can register online, call us on 020 4568 7137, or simply book your first appointment and complete your registration when you arrive.
