Dentures at Park Royal Dental Clinic
Modern dentures bear little resemblance to the ill-fitting, obviously artificial appliances of previous generations. At Park Royal Dental Clinic, we design and fit dentures that are comfortable, secure, and genuinely natural-looking — restoring your ability to eat a varied diet, speak clearly, and smile with confidence.
We offer both partial dentures (replacing some missing teeth while retaining natural ones) and full dentures (replacing an entire arch). Both types can be made from acrylic or from chrome cobalt metal framework with acrylic teeth — a more rigid, thinner, and often more comfortable option for partial dentures.

Who is dentures suitable for?
Dentures are suitable for patients who have lost multiple teeth or all of their teeth and are looking for a removable replacement option. They are often chosen for patients for whom implants are not clinically suitable (due to severe bone loss, medical conditions, or medication), those who prefer to avoid surgery, and patients for whom the speed and relative affordability of dentures is important.
Partial dentures are also an excellent option as an interim measure while planning implant treatment.
Park Royal Dental difference
The fit of a denture is everything. At Park Royal Dental Clinic we take multiple precise impressions and measurements over several appointments, and carry out a wax try-in at every case so you can approve the appearance before the final acrylic is processed.
We also take time at the fitting appointment to adjust and refine the denture properly. Most patients require minor adjustments at the first one or two follow-up appointments, which are included in the treatment.

Remove your denture every night and soak it in a denture cleaner or plain water. Never sleep in your denture routinely. Clean the denture with a soft brush and denture cream (not regular toothpaste). Continue to brush your gums, tongue, and any remaining natural teeth twice daily.
Dentures FAQs
How long will it take to get used to a denture?
Most patients need 4–8 weeks to adapt fully. In the early weeks there may be minor soreness at pressure points, excess saliva, and a slightly different feel when eating and speaking. These issues resolve with time and minor adjustments.
Can dentures be fixed in place?
Implant-retained dentures can be stabilised with 2–4 dental implants that snap or clip into the denture, preventing it from moving. This is a life-changing option for patients who struggle with loose lower dentures.
Will anyone be able to tell I am wearing a denture?
A well-made denture with premium teeth is very difficult to detect. Modern denture teeth are available in a wide range of shapes, shades, and sizes that mimic natural teeth realistically.
My existing denture is loose — what can I do?
Loose dentures usually mean the underlying bone and gum ridge has changed shape over time. Relines — adding new material to the fitting surface — can restore the fit. Alternatively, a new denture may be the best solution.
